Aquablation

Aquablation is a novel, robot guided procedure to reduce the size of the prostate using a high pressure water jet to remove prostate tissue. In the majority of cases it is able to remove prostate tissue whilst preserving normal ejaculation and sexual function. In randomised trials it is able to remove the same amount of prostate tissue as a TURP operation with similar improvements in urinary symptoms but with fewer sexual side effects.
